Troubleshooting issues during sign-up

Having trouble creating your Winedrops account? Don’t worry, most sign-up issues can be fixed quickly. 


Here are the most common problems and how to solve them:


Didn’t Receive the Login Code via Email?


If you haven’t received your login code, here’s what to check:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder
    Sometimes, verification emails are filtered out by your inbox. Look for an email from Winedrops.

  2. Confirm you’re checking the correct email address
    Make sure you’re checking the same inbox you used to sign up or log in (email, Apple ID, or Google account).

  3. Resend the verification code
    In the app, tap “Resend Code” to generate a new one.

  4. Try logging in with your phone number
    If email login is still not working, you can choose “Sign in with phone number” to receive a code via SMS instead.

I can’t sign up using my Apple ID

If you’re signing up with Apple ID, make sure you’ve:

  • Used the same Apple ID across your devices.

  • Allowed Winedrops access to your Apple ID email (otherwise we can’t link your account).

  • Disable Private Relay if you’re seeing repeated login or verification errors - this can interfere with the connection.

If you previously signed up with a different Apple ID or email, contact us so we can merge your accounts.


I already have an account, but can’t log in

If you’re getting an error that your email is already in use, it means you’ve already created an account with that email or Apple ID.

Try tapping ‘Sign In’ instead of ‘Sign Up’.

Still stuck? Send us your full name and the email address you’re trying to use - we’ll check your account status.


I got an error while entering payment details

If your payment method isn’t accepted:

  • Make sure the card details are correct.

  • Check that your card is unlocked for online transactions.

  • Disable any VPN, as it can sometimes affect the app’s connection to our payment system.

  • Try force-closing and reopening the app, then re-entering your details.

If the problem persists, please email us with a screenshot of the error (excluding card numbers for security).


The app isn’t loading during sign-up

If the screen gets stuck or loads indefinitely:

  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

  • Disable any VPN or ad blocker.

  • Try force-closing and restarting the app.

  • If that doesn’t help, uninstall and reinstall Winedrops from the App Store.
